How to activate Space On-Premises perpetual license?
If your company had an active Space subscription on November 27 2024, you can switch to the perpetual license.
For Space On-Premises with the Organization or Enterprise subscription:
- Log in to your Space instance and navigate to the "Administration -> Basics" page.
- Under the "License" field, click the link to log in to your JetBrains Account.
- On your account page, copy the license string and return back to Space. In case the Space license is not shown or there is an error on the page, make sure you are logged in to the JetBrains account that has the Space On-Premises subscription and repeat the steps from the begging.
- Paste the string to the "License" field and apply the changes.
For Space On-Premises with the Free subscription:
No additional steps are required. The 'Free' subscription comes with a perpetual license included.

We're on Free plan, but we faced 10 users limit and need more. We were waiting for SpaceCode migration and planned to buy Org license. But total Space sunset prevents this purchase. As was pointed in FAQ, user count can be extended. Can we extend users count on a Free plan now? Unfortunately we can't migrate from Space right now due to a number of repos and automation jobs in Space.

The Free subscription plan has a hard limit on user numbers and the licensing model for it doesn't imply the user number extension.
The registration and licensing processes have been discontinued within the Space pivot activity. Thus, no new subscription can be issued or purchased.
Please open a support request with us. We will check what can be done to the current subscription to extend the user numbers.
