Channel Permission without Subscription
It would be nice if there was a way to add permission for someone to access a channel without actually adding them to the channel.
We have a policy in the company that, except for sensitive data that we have keep legally secure, all employees have access to all discussions. We want channels to be available for employees to join, but we don't want to just add every employee to every channel, as that can result in a lot of noise (we have a lot of narrowly-focused channels).
However, we can't use public channels because we also have guests and partners who shouldn't access internal company discussions.
It would be very nice if, when creating a new private channel, there were separate fields for Subscription and Permission (Subscription obviously implying permission).

Hi Matt, thanks for the suggestion! Really appreciate your feedback. In fact, having such permissions would be a good idea. Alternatively, we could think about the Guest Access feature. We'll discuss the best way of handling this scenario with the team and get back to you in case we need any additional details. Thanks!
Thank you! I hope I'm not swamping you with TOO much feedback. We're really liking Space, love the easy API (we're already using it for internal tool integrations), and are impressed with its potential and excited about things mentioned on your roadmap, so we might be a little over-enthusiastic about sending feature suggestions. I hope they are helpful, and I really appreciate the Space team's active engagement with users. It inspires confidence!
