GIF Auto-Play (or some indication a file is a GIF)
We share a lot of gif images in chat as part of our internal workflow (we make a motion graphics app that, among other things, exports gif images).
In Slack, gif images would auto-play. But in Space chat, they don't.
Realizing that auto-play of gif images is not for everyone, it would be really nice to have a preference switch somewhere to enable auto-play of gifs. Or if not, to at least indicate that an image is a gif (maybe overlay the text "GIF" in the corner of the image?) so that the recipient knows they can click it to see an animated version (currently we are manually posting the text "it's a gif" or "click for animation" every time, which is a bit tedious).

Hi Matt, thanks for the feedback, it totally makes sense. I created an issue for adding the format indicator for such attachments, please feel free to upvote and subscribe to updates: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/SPACE-12985
Wonderful! Thank you! (And...upvoted!)
