How do I create a new branch in space?
Hello,
so Icreated a new project.
In this project I synced a Bitbucket Repository and everything is working fine. I can access every branch, pull, commit and push.
I just cant find where I can create a new branch in space in the Webinterface?
Greetings
Markus

Thank you for reaching out to us!
Space allows creating a new branch on a file upload, edit, or create actions. After selecting the needed files or done editing it, you will be asked to make the commit to one of the existing branches or create a new one.
Alternatively, a branch can be created using the Git native clients or any IDE that is configured with Git.
As for just creating a new branch in the Space WebUI, unfortunately, this is not available yet. We have such a request in our backlog. Feel free to upvote and subscribe to it to receive further updates:

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Thanks a lot.
I can not believe that it is 21st century and you guys do not prioritize features properly..
you are suggesting us to use git command line client to create a branch .. really? what will be next, use emacs for development?
lets admit, jetbrains spaces - UX SUCKS! its just sucks.. I mean gitlabs is pretty bad but spaces takes it to next level, I have never seen most user unfriend UX in my life.. it is already too late, otherwise I am regarding putting my source code there so badly...
from code review. to PR to basic features like creating a dang branch... common guys.. you have such a good IDE product and give us this sucky half baked BS..
just had to let this out .. so frustrated ..
To create a new branch in Space, you can use the following steps:
1- Go to the project where you want to create the new branch.
2- Click the Code tab.
3- Click the Branches button.
4- Click the New branch button.
5- Enter a name for the new branch and click the Create button.
Isn't there an option to create a branch from an issue. Most of the tools out there allow you to create a new branch based upon the name of the issue.
I agree with Stefan - its almost enough to switch back to Jira + BitBucket
